YOUR FIRST DASHBOARD
Start with a clearer view.
Explore the product with sample data, then connect your Snowflake account when you're ready.
1. Explore sample data
Create an account and choose Load sample data on the welcome screen. Browse Executive Overview, Cost & Usage, query performance, and Security & Access. The sample-data banner distinguishes this preview from your own usage.
2. Connect Snowflake
Choose Connect my Snowflake from the welcome screen. Have your Snowflake administrator review and run the supplied setup SQL in Snowsight. The setup provisions a service account and grants metadata access. Paste your Snowflake URL back into SnowLedger to test the connection.
Existing service accounts can use the connection wizard with password or key-pair authentication. Keep credentials in the connection form; never include them in a support ticket.
3. Check the first sync
Open Data Sync to check dataset progress and any errors. Then open Cost & Usage and select an account, warehouse, and date range. Snowflake metadata availability and the first sync can affect how soon data appears.
How access works
SnowLedger stores connection credentials encrypted with Fernet and scopes application reports to your organization. Team roles control access to settings and operations. The reporting service reads Snowflake metadata; the setup SQL provisions the service account and its permissions.
